USGS MIPS Vecproj Documentation

This program is used to convert a vector file from one map projection to another.

Files

This program requires as input one vector file and will produce another vector file in a different map projection.

Projection Parameters

The first three sets of parameters are used to select the new map projection parameters such as the type of projection, radius and eccentricity of the earth, parallels, central longitudes, etc. Click here for more information on these parameters.

Examples

This is the original vector file input into the program VECPROJ. It is a grid in a Sinusoidal projection.
