USGS MIPS Reformat Documentation






This program converts an old Mips image  to the current Mips image format. The old Mips image format was a single binary file with 5120 bytes of header information followed by the image data.

  

Files

This program requires as input an old Mips 8-bit , 16-bit , or 32- bit  image and will produce a new Mips image with the corresponding bit type. The following information is transferred from the input file to the output file(if appropriate):

Image labels 
Mosaic labels
Projection labels
Sonar labels
Navigation  file
