USGS MIPS Classavg Documentation





This program generates an image  who's DN  values are equal to the average DN value of all the pixels  assign to the particular class of the given pixel. It reads in the classified image/map and the input image/band requested by the user. It uses the classified image to determine which class a pixel has been previously assigned, and it uses the input image/band to compute the average for each class.

  

Files

This program requires as input two unsigned 8-bit  image files and will generate one unsigned 8-bit image file. The following information is transfered from the first input file to the output file(if appropriate):

Image labels 
Mosaic labels
Projection labels
